Re: Thunderbirds Commander "relieved of duty"

"Any questions" it says?

Wow, a few I'd think, bet not many you'd get answered. That's unbelievably scathing.

Given the RAF's centenary can see this ending up in wartime cammo. Always good to see the Anson regardless!

In terms of starting out It's basically a case of patience. There's some jaw dropping models out there...

Re: RAF 100 anniversary colour schemes

Would like to see the Tornado role demo return (possibly one of the them in the GR1 camo) and a special scheme on the Typhoon with smokewinders (like the Rafale this year) a Raspberry ripple Typhoon maybe? Sadly with the number of Tornados remaining and their heavy operational comittments I'm sorry...

Re: Vegas special scheme F-15C

Likewise. Just seems to be a desperate rush to "honour" the victims so everyone can move on and carry on as normal. With many events such as international terrorism etc there's not much more you can do but this somehow seems to miss the point.

Re: BBMF Spitfire MK356's new scheme

It's smart for sure. Not my favourite scheme but only right the desert war is represented. Would rather see a MkV with a Volkes filter but That's not a simple request. Will be interesting to see 311's scheme I must admit to being astonished how many appearances it made, I thought sending it out look...

Yep, gate guard for (I think) 47 sqn.

A lovely set with some nice prop disks. That Herk really is a good looking scheme.

Cg341 not quite sure why the need for such a sarcastic reply it was an honest question this sort of attitude is what is wrong with this forum and why I'm sure people are posting less and less to this forum due to this level of non warranted attack. So are you in a position to confirm that there are...

Gentlemen just a friendly reminder to keep things civil and on topic. The event isn't for everyone, you don't have to go, can we keep the clutter down and leave this for information for attendees. Thank you.

A "capability holiday". I still reckon as soon as Typhoon is fully cleared on Brimstone and Storm Shadow Tornado will go. The early retirement of 41 sqn's suggests to me this isn't far off. 41 finish with Tornado this week by the way if anyone didn't know. Went hunting them in the Loop on...

Great set and good to see some variety in traffic. Rotary stuff isn't exactly common in the Loop.

Sorry I'm being dense but the joining instructions referred to arriving at 1730 prompt, but later said to arrive between 1700 and 1900? Which is it? As I said apologies if I'm getting confused but don't want to get it wrong!

Really is shaping up very nice. I'm crossing my fingers for something RAF and rotary but there's enough already announced to leave me very happy. Frankly I was at "very happy" after the Sea King announcement!

Yeah weather has played havoc this year. Been one of the worst summer's in a while. Here's hoping next year is better!

Not done a great deal this year, the Marham enthusiasts days and RIAT so wouldn't make much of a list!

Re: Italian Typhoon display crash

The images I've seen do suggest reheat engaged, it's not always clear in daylight and especially from in front. It's certainly a tragic incident and early investigations seem to suggest pilot incapacitation as a factor. For something to go so tragically wrong with seemingly no attempt to escape or r...

The bit that got me was this being reported by some parts of the media as due to "staff holidays" rather than "poor rostering and inadequate staffing".
