RAF total will most likely be 160, with 120 available for operations. This should just enable five squadrons plus the OCU, although it doesn't leave much flexibility. With QRA commitments this will possibly mean that there won't be any flex to deploy on operations, increasing the pressure on the Tor...

More significant is the reduction of 18 F-16s at Spang. This will effectively reduce the base to one F-16 & one A-10 squadron - with the flying restrictions in Germany, the viability of the base must be in question. F-16s to Aviano & A-10s to Lakenheath - please!

Test flight 'unlikely' on Friday - awaiting an oil cooler before engine testing can commence. Should be okay for the first airshow, however! (fingers crossed smiley)
