Nice set Keith and good effort at getting so many, you got our balloons in a few of them.

It was certainly a sit and wait event, the last weekend providing perfect conditions for all four ascents.

Great set Rich, you caught me in the penultimate two, flying the white balloon next to the Minion.

Love the city backdrop shots.

Seventh slot should never have been flown, glad I chose to stay on the ground.

Re: Mid Air Squadron - status?

Midair are not in trouble, the aircraft will fly when they are ready and cancelling appearances is the correct thing to do.

There is a bigger picture that is relevant but I'm not at liberty to go in to it.

Re: Mid Air Squadron - status?

From my part of Kemble I see the C2 hangar everyday...

Activity continues on the aircraft but as they haven't flown (yet) then its very sensible to cancel their appearances, rather than promise something that cant be delivered, cost cutting :wall: no, sensible yes

I've seen ZM400 showing up on Flightradar 24 on a good few occasions since the crash in France.

I can assure you they haven't flown since the grounding order.

Only the French have continued to fly in service aircraft since the accident

Re: RIAT 2015

No, but it links to an interview with the organisers. The US DoD already announced that they won't be supporting Paris, so the fact they are, according to the interview, getting US aircraft in the flying display, could mean that the US demo teams (like the ACC F-16, for example), are going to suppo...

Re: RIAT 2015

Not sure why people are linking Paris to RIAT? One is a trade show (supported by the USDoD in the case of the USA) and one isn't, aircraft committed to Paris are not comparable to RIAT.

The FB paged linked to is not even the official Paris FB page...

Re: RIAT 2015

F-35 = no chance of it being in the UK this year, needs to be combined with Farnborough for LM to even think about sponsoring a deployment. Given the state of the program deploying man power and a number of jets for 10-14 days its not even realistic to think about it.

The B-25 making the low pass looks like "Miami Clipper" which ended up in Malaga after the filming of the movie Cuba and is now on display at the air force museum in Madrid! Remember Blackbushe was the first place I saw a flying P-47 and P-51 back in the early eighties, late seventies! Thi...
