Staying at a hotel in Swindon for the Thursday arrivals with one parent, then living with the other (20 mins from show) for the Saturday and Monday.

At least one A-4 Skyhawk is painted in NATO 70 colours, shown at the TLG 51 Air Day. Could be interesting.. :heyhey:

Hats off to Germany, adding another two aircraft to the static, another chance to see the C-160 before they retire!

Re: RIAT 2019

Just been reading through Scramble show reports - what happened in 2014 to make the US only send two - yes two aircraft to RIAT, a Kc-135 and F-15 - thats shocking. I think the U.S was still recovering from Sequestration. The U.S Navy did send a P-8 for the first time in 2014 too, along with an F/A...

They’re not invited this year for some reason. Just checked the invited nations list.

Re: RIAT 2019

We have a new country coming to RIAT! The little known country called Flypasts will be making a rare appearance at this year’s Air Tattoo. They will be hiring aircraft from NATO forces for the event.
Sorry..

Re: RIAT 2019

On the invited nations list, the Slovak Republic is flashing green. Now I know not to look at this too seriously, but seems strange that it would be flashing because of the C-27J, as it was confirmed some weeks ago. :dunno:

Re: RIAT 2019 wish list

Italian F-35A on static would be nice, and anything from South America, the KC-390 last year was a nice addition, although it was brought in by a company.

M345 is a new one for me, haven’t togged one yet, is that the one Frecce is getting? Edit- Clicked on it and the M346 comes up, which is it? It'll be the company owned '346 that will be tucked up behind the screens for the VIPs only. They can keep it, grey heap. I wonder if the ever so slightly mor...

Re: RIAT 2019

Reminds me of the OV-10 Bronco. Nice addition, quite unique, I believe this is so far the only one made? (according to wiki) Looking at Wikipedia, the number of aircraft is unspecified, although it does mention a new variant that first flew in late 2018, so presumably this will be the one that visi...

Well flying F35 for Yeovilton so maybe... We're certainly not missing much, two flypasts only These are heady days indeed. 2 flypasts from the RAF/FAA's new primary strike fighter at Yeovilton. Fairly safe to assume that we won't be seeing anything remotely close to a solo display at RIAT either. A...
