Re: Will air shows be cancelled because of coronavirus

I am 72 and diabetic. Am I concerned? Slightly, since if I do contract the disease it is likely that it would be a severe case. Has it affected my lifestyle? Other than washing my hands more frequently and checking from time to time to see if official advice has been updated/changed, no. I'm certain...

Having lived with two Balinese I agree that they can indeed be "a handfull"! I would love to see a picture of Ziggy once his points and tail plume have developed. Do you have any idea what colour he will be?

Re: Future of Airshows in the EV World

No one is looking forward to seeing exciting new electric aircraft in the air displays then? I would imagine that would depend on the performance attributes of said aircraft. For me at least the sound of an aircraft is of much lesser importance than its capabilities.... No doubt this will elicit cr...

….. And why shouldn't people be critical of events that they pay to attend? Indeed. However, complaining about an event which will not occur for another seven months and for which the line-up is as yet unknown does seem a trifle premature as it is impossible for anyone to have attended said event y...

In reply to some of the points raised;.... "Georgeconna", I suggest you take a look at "spellow3010"'s post, which elaborates further on why I now actively avoid the fence line. especially given that for video I use a large shoulder mounted camera mainly because it gives me total...

Steps near the front at events

Not quite sure in which section to post this so have put it here. Mods please move if required. There has been in the past much comment concerning the use of stepladders close to the crowd line at events. Although I am generally in agreement with most comments concerning this, one of the comments of...

I heard today that IWM have limited available on-site parking to 4,790 vehicles each day ( down 600/700 spaces over last year ) to push the park and ride option. Brian Difficult to see the business case for losing around £3000+ income from parking fees and then funding the busses for Park and Ride....

If I were you, Tommy, I would have given up posting on this subject months ago. Face it, neither the "Brexiteers" (horrible word) nor the "Remainers" who post on here are ever going to change their minds regardless of any evidence you or anyone else might present. I have my views...

All onsite parking, including blue badge now sold out for both days. Not sure what’s going on with the parking policy at the moment to be honest. Have the event parking areas got smaller, or capacity on show days got bigger and car parking capacity not increased to match? Either way, that’s one eld...

I agree with Berf that we (I) am too quick to review what I've just shot and stop photographing/watching the display. I have thought for some time that the habit of "instant review" with associated "pixel peeping" is, especially in an action scenario such as air shows or motor s...

Typhoon displaying for the international space station it seemed. I would suggest that a reading of CAP403, especially the section concerning aircraft speed and display line distances, might provide some insight and clarity. The aircraft either displayed further away than all the other (slower flyi...

I have to agree with the previous posters concerning the generally disjointed nature of the flying display.
