Very nice shots. Liking that Mig a great deal. Just a shame the BOB Typhoon couldn't keep-up with the Spitfire in the vertical climb in shot 13!

Re: Duxford BoB Saturday
No need to beat yourself-up! These are fine shots as there was little sun during the mid-afternoon anyway. Clearly the RTA on the M11 influenced the amount of flypasts at the M11 end, but the sun has been setting in the west for some time now? For this time of year especially, I chose a location at ...

Re: Southport Saturday 19/9/15
Very nice selection on a great day weather-wise. On the negative side I'm struggling to understand the extent of vignetting in what appears to be max' focal length? If you added it in PP. it doesn't work IMHO. If you didn't add it you probably need to remedy the front-end fixtures on your lens or se...

How does shutter speed affect your camera focussing? Short answer is it doesn't !....but 'Camera-shake' & shutter-speed are inextricably linked. May I respectfully suggest (to limit Thread-drift even more??) you do a little research on the subject & post your newly informed questions in the...

Can't take anything away from the shots as they are all superb! I do however question your 'luck', given your Avatar too! Next you'll be saying Nick & Rick just happened to come along the cliff-path at that exact time. I understand you may be forbidden to divulge the source of your heads-up, but...

Re: Battle Of Britain Day Commemorations 2015 - Goodwood
As you have said, photography was not the primary goal, but I must admit to thinking maybe I should've been to the right of R/W 24, especially when they all turned right for a left-hand circuit!! Whatever is on the 24 climb-out better be bloody important? I like your brave decision to be different &...

This looks a bit touch and go to me - some weather sites predicting winds of 20-30mph with gusts of 40mph. Can't see anything getting off the ground if that's the case, and with rain due all morning, I can't see anything else arriving to boost the numbers present either. What to do... I wouldn't tr...

No, not a New York Taxi. Saw an RAF Rescue Sea King heading south/southeast over New Alresford, Hampshire direct track for Fleetlands @ around 1300 today (Thurs) Any ideas about where from/to? I was driving at the time so can't give # or any code. Just read elsewhere that the last of Valley's Sea Ki...

Re: RAF 'Airseeker' at the Hall
The RAF refuelling fleet is currently equipped with the 'probe and drogue' system, which is fine for fighter sized aircraft but the transfer rate is a bit slow compared to the flying boom system used by the USAF. Whether the Airseeker will have a Hercules-style bolt-on probe added at some point, or...

The Hunter having completed its initial flypast completed a derry-turn right Adjacent to Lancing Chapel to turnaround & return (cue BBC graphic) to commence its final looping manoeuvre. Therefore their graphic is correct & always has been!

Blimey Gary, where did all that sun come from Great selection . Photoshop mainly! With a hefty chunk of patiently waiting. A really good & varied collection here. I see there is plenty off PP. happening here, but is the vignetting on shots 1-9 intended, or the result of too many front-end filters/incorrect lens-hood? The short-range shots 10 & 11 don't suffer the same. Number 6 is great composition....but 'Pink'...

Just noticed on FR 24 a Meridian AN-12 approaching lincolnshire from the east, should make landfall just above Skegness. That's interesting, we had the 'normal' AN-12 over-flight here (just north of Southampton) at around 21:30 Local. I'm assuming your computer is set to BST & therefore suggest...
