Does anyone know of a list of former RAF aircraft that are active on the civil register? Maybe interesting to see what could actually turn up to a 100th celebration....

Re: RIAT 2018 wishlist

I think only 4 F-35B are expected in the first wave of arrivals at Marham So no 3*3 (Guess the Reds will want to do that one) but 2*2 is possible? Well, every aircraft needs to be fully servicable on three consecutive days. Not a common thing to achieve with aircraft types that are just entering se...

Well said Rampvan. The world leading trade-show aircraft line-up will be announced in due course and will be great as usual. With lots of associated items see in the new permanent buildings too. I just hope the weather behaves this year. Fingers crossed I don't think I could go through another one ...

As long as it is not blurred or out of focus much of it is down to how long you want to spend processing or how proficient you want to become at it especially if all the conditions are not perfect.

Re: Air leasing G-AWHC 2 seat buchon first flight - 24/11/17

Scheme worn in the Battle of Britain film so sort of original. Brian I have some sympathy with this especially as it may need to be 'sold to airshow organisers' to finance its upkeep. However at some stage it would be great to see it in Spanish colours and as a very interesting historic aircraft in...

Re: More F-35 woes...

Excerpts from Av Week: Lt. Gen. Mark Poffley, the deputy chief of the UK defense staff, told a parliamentary defense committee on Nov. 21 that he was “sympathetic” to the idea that the overall number of F-35s being purchased by Britain could fall, saying “this was the reality of the world we are liv...

Re: Airseekers leaving Waddington?

Surely this sort of research should have been done before the order for the aircraft was placed? I'd love to know the reason behind the runway works if Waddington is now unsuitable. Paperwork SNAFAU - getting non computerised records for an ancient aircraft and converting data. As Gertrude infers I...

As I understood it the runway safety area is not long enough at the A15 end in the event of a a full load rejected take off.

Another excellent capture. I was in Stavanger last week with work and there was an AN-12 sitting on the tarmac at Sola Airport, wearing crazy navy blue and red markings. Re: Airseekers leaving Waddington?

Waddington is only about 200m shorter than Fairford surely that can't make much of a difference. Also who is tanking them every mission ? Must be the USAF as the RAF don't have the capability to refuel it. Yes it can and it's not just the runway length it the safety areas past the physical runway -...

For the very reason ST24 mentions above I will travel from abroad for this event but does anyone have any inkling as to whether any 'spotters day' or extra day for static exhibits is likely or even if it has been ruled out so I can book ever increasing cost of flights thanks

Re: RIAT 2018 wishlist

As a Farnborough year, I assume we could expect the F/A-18 Super Hornet. Perhaps something from China? Chengdu J-20. Is that even a little bit possible? Honest question, I'd rank it along the same lines as the PAK-FA, so incredibly unlikely...just curious if it's actually a possibility? How are the...
