Re: MCAS Miramar 2012

Jealous mate. Was set up at El Centro that week and planned to get down to Miramar, but had to work the weekend. Glad you got some good shots. Were you there for the Wall of Fire demo?

Re: Airfix's New Merlin at Telford

Will be getting this kit, not least after knocking about with them out in the US for the next month it's kind of gotten me back into my old attraction to the aircraft. Although I've still got 3 Lynx builds lined up. See on the Airfix website they've also updated the box image. Appears to have 5 diff...

Re: Cuban Missile Crisis - BBC TV - Inside Out

Can I ask how long that link on iplayer has until it expires? Currently on exercise in the States and iPlayer isn't available so can't see any details on it.
Cheers

Re: London 2012....The City, Olympics & Paralympics

Excellent set, nice to see some from the top of the Orbit. You've done well. The closest I got during my time there was John Lewis. Did get to see the mens marathon however, just a bit gutted I didn't get anywhere as close to the Olympic Park as I'd have liked during the events.

Re: UFO over Wrexham (turns out it was a meteor)

To me it is too slow for a meteor,i would put my money on it being space debris or a rocket body re entering the atmosphere. I've seen this myself a few years ago in Grantham when an 8 tonne Proton rocket body burnt up over southern britain and was witnessed by airliner pilots .I did some research ...

Re: UFO?! Or something much worse?

It would appear Wrexham was a pretty good spot to see it. Just tried accessing a link upload from the news website around wrexham that has a link for an image/video. Not loading presumably due to too much traffic

To the guy who got the photo of it - NICE!

Probably is a meteor, just so gutted I missed it! :wall:

I'd draw the same conclusion. Ha yeah same, I'm shacked up on camp. Raining anyway so I'd not see it.

I've heard through facebook 2 people spotted something in the Preston area tonight. No idea what. But it does tie in to the same timing.

Middle Wallop F/F Day

So spent the Saturday with the Wallop family flight line. The displays were of little value photographically for me, with distance and sun position. Also after seeing the Officers cocktail party display from my block the evening before I was kicking myself for not being in the right position for tha...

Really like these. Never seen the interior before. Interesting comparing it to the Nimrod that I have seen. Nice set.
