Re: Dunsfold Wings & Wheels 2017
Another question, has the aerodrome been sold yet? So the property developers can build loads of new homes for the ridiculously rich to buy up, rent out or leave empty, just so long as they're on the portfolio? I love aircraft, fast jets, and enjoy the pyro's, but from my vantage point on Sunday. t...

Perhaps that could take a look at the control that Bournemouth use, and over the years, very successfully.

Re: RIAT "Glamping"
Me and a colleague started camping at Fairford when the IAT moved there. We then used the Kempsford until about eight years ago. We had had enough of the sleep disturbed nights and the hours lost, dozing whilst missing the aircraft 'cos we were knackered; the promised but never maintained night secu...

A great experience, well done getting the pics.
Having been to Kennedy, as said, a very interesting experience, and luckily, I caught a launch of a craft I'd seen on the launch pad there, from Orlando.

I've now got my head round the sound, and can hear them when passing over - reminds me a bit of a Shackleton. It's amazing that, though I live near Heathrow, one can still pick out that sound above all others.

Obviously I'm not "in the know" but the only aircraft of the BBMF at RIAT making smoke was the Griffon powered Spitfire.

Re: Mach 3 first timer
I used the viewing village few years ago but the space in the grandstand was so small I could not even have my large (but nowhere near the largest) camera bag in front of me, nor was there enough room to even move to take pictures when two people were next to you. I guess the FRIAT stand is much be...

Re: The People’s Mosquito
There is sadly little real interest in airshow bookings for a Mosquito in this countries current shrinking marketplace. Despite the current enthusuiasm this has not been evident when 2 Mosquitoes came on the market in the UK in airworthy condition in the last 40 years. One ended up with Kermit Week...

I may be giving this a shot, will be travelling from Leicester so will be a 2 hour journey but will try make it early. What is a good time to aim for reaching the venue to miss traffic? Will be my first Duxford visit. So long as you're in the queue after me, I would suggest about 0750 is a good time.

Re: US rules to require you to take the camera out
For years I have insisted that when I am stopped and asked to open camera boxes/cases that they look at and view through any lens; sadly, they do have a job to do, but they are not all photographers or familiar with a lot of the equipment. My colleague insists each time on lecturing the security sta...

Finally back home! My wife and I completed our honeymoon trip of Europe and the first stop was RIAT 2017.
