CVN-77, an amateurs view..

Although I can't possibly hope to compete with some of the stunning sets on this thread so far, (particularly the onboard shots) These are taken from a VERY choppy and wet trip out this morning complete with our own Coastguard escort for a while. If you were on the rear boat, theres a shot for you t...

Found at Northolt IX

I picked up what appears to be a tripod level out on the pan last night. Its black, 30cm diameter with a black shaft and has a clear window and a green circle with a ball bearing in the centre. If anyone cares to claim it, send me a PM and I'll get in the post. By the way, thanks Phil for another gr...

Re: Portsmouth carrier trips

No problem. Thank you too for the time info as we've now changed our Beaulieu visit to the Saturday and hopefully do the boat on Sunday morning as there won't be enough time on Monday if there are only 2 trips.
Cheers!!

I've looked at various www's but can't seem to find which units are aboard 'The Bush' at the moment. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Chinook over Wycombe?

We had a Chinook circling south of Wycombe at about half 6 last night. He did about 6 circuits before going off to the south west at about 7ish. Anyone have any idea what it might have doing? And of course the usual long shot... a reg perhaps?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Upper Heyford use now?

Got called to the TV by madam who said they were filming an episode of Lewis at U H on Sunday. The plot (such as it was) invovled somekind of missing body dumped in one of the old HAS's. Anyway I digress. What I meant to ask was are there still thousands of cars parked on the runways still? Reason i...

What a tragic loss to us all. Deepest sympathy.
Would it be inappropriate to suggest we could have a small intimate 'ceremony' of some kind at the next Nightshoot please?

Can't comment on the grandstand as I wouldn't use it on principle (cost etc) but I can concure with the absollute shambles in getting in on the Saturday. We parked off base in the red car park at 7.05 and walked BACK toward Lechlade for about half a mile to join the queue to get in at 7.30 when they...
