Re: September Airshow - Whos going?
This has now appeared on the Duxford Web Site Important: Parking for the Air Show We are expecting this weekend's air show to be particularly busy. To assist in entering and exiting car parks, visitors travelling by car are strongly advised to arrive early and to delay their departure until later. C...

Has that second Spitfire flown yet? i really like the color scheme for some reason..is it Griffin engined example?
Not yet but I believe the engine (Griffon) problem they had is sorted and it is just a question of waiting for the paperwork clearance from the CAA.

Re: Rotor blur
Tony I've just counted the flying shots and there are 70 in the sequence ,shooting Jpeg, where it was going backwards and forwards and I was lowering the shutter speeds. This was No 14 into that sequence. I haven't checked them all yet to see how many are in focus but the majority are shall we say, ...

Little Gransden in the Haze - 31st August 2008
Despite the wall to wall mist when I got up and the threat of heavy rain and thunderstorms predicted that afternoon, by 09.00 it had lifted sufficiently for me to decide to go, after all it's only 15 miles away. A good call, as it turned out to be a cracking little show. The morning was quiet, as it...

Re: Weather at september show
A bit early to think about the weather at the weekend. The forecast for Little Gransden yesterday was heavy rain and thunderstorms. In the end we had a little bit of blue sky and hazy sunshine. Not a peep from any thunder. I doubt the Vulcan will operate from Duxford. More probably from Brize or out ...

Re: Little Gransden 2008
Well despite the mist/fog on arrival and the threat of rain and thunderstorms, the day turned out better than I thought it was going to be. The sun was an added bonus after hearing the weather report. It was nice to see the Spartan (having had a scale drawing of it I did published years ago) as I ne...

Re: Please Tell Us What You Think About Our New Website
Had a good look around, finally got my avatar to work, like what I have seen so far, and well done to every one on the team for the hard work put in and putting up with us moaning minnies.
Hopefully the picture cropping will be sorted and yes my screen size is 1024x768.

Re: Please Tell Us What You Think About Our New Website
Seems to be some problems with the board cutting the edge off pictures that have been posted? We've had a small discussion here about this, something that 1024x768 screen resolution users are going to have to put up with for the moment, until we find a solution. Just posted in Golden Oldies and the...

A Not So Quiet Day at Duxford - 30 Aug 08
With a couple of airshows down south, I though it might be quiet at Duxford and I was only going to spend a couple of hours there getting some static shots in the hangers. MH434 came out to play and then came back out again for an engine run in the afternoon. The Corsair went up twice and 'TAZ' went...
