Strikemaster display as excellent as always - great to see a more dynamic routine again! Catalina display was another highlight for me, as was the Blenheim/Spitfire pair.

Re: G-APSA

After a recent trip to Coventry , during a conversation, I was told that-: “G-APSA - is to go to St Athan, for a museum, and engines to be kept running". nothing about flying her again and "G-SIXC – to be kept at Coventry, as part of a project for the airport. If this does not succeed it ...

Re: G-APSA

AFIK PSA is going to St Athan by road, SIXC I believe is going to Bruntingthorpe? Interesting - G-APSA return to flight at St Athan and SIXC nice posh lunches at Brunty - no more takeaway cheeseburgers and onions on CWJ days eh?! I don’t think the plan for SA is a return to flight. Ground running o...

Re: G-APSA

Gone rather quiet on this one, indeed and the rest of the erstwhile Airbase fleet (apart from the sad Meteor departure overseas) - anyone any news updates? I believe G-APSA has been sold and will not be scrapped. Most of the Air Atlantique aircraft have moved on, or are remaining at Coventry for ma...

I’m a FRIAT member for the first time this year - thought it would be a good investment with it being RAF100. What normally happens at the FRIAT forum?

Re: RIAT 2018 discussion

The Czech Republic will make a welcome return to the 2018 Air Tattoo to help celebrate 100 years of the Royal Air Force. Representatives for the Czech Air Force this week confirmed that a JAS-39 Gripen and L-159 Advanced Light Combat Aircraft (ALCA) will be taking part in the flying display over the...

Re: RIAT 2018 discussion

I've heard there is some rumblings that the Greeks are going to try and make a return can anyone shed any light? I know the F4’s don’t have a display pilot, but something similar to what they flew at Athens 2017 would be fantastic! Never ever seen one fly! Now that would be an awesome sight to see....

Re: Where has XH558 thread gone?

Interesting how XL426 managed to taxi up the runway and taxiway for a long period of time today at Southend, with the team there suggesting public runs next year - and on a limited budget I might add. If they can do it on a commercial airport, why cannot XH558. That begs a question about how determi...

Re: RIAT 2018 wishlist

Given that their last ( only ? ) appearance was at the 2008 non-event, assuming they still exist I'd like to see the Indian AF's Sarang helicopter display team back again. I'd rather watch them than the over-long ( and over-rated, in my opinion ) Apache role demo. Yes, but to top that it has to be ...

2018 Military Display Teams

Hi Guys, Apart from the already confirmed RAF Typhoon Display Team, the Red Arrows and the BBMF, what other UK military display teams do we expect to see next year? A Tornado Role Demo is highly unlikely, but as it is RAF100, it would be nice if the RAF could have a least one more display team next ...

Re: End of the Trislander

It is the Trislander's last day in active service tomorrow. Her retirement still seems a bit stupid to me. So many people want a flight in her, but don't live in the Channel Islands - she has done loads of flights in the past week according to flightradar24. I presume she will fly to Duxford next we...
