Re: Magazine about airshows

Incidentally, does anyone know when the first one was issued? I have a run of them from 84 to 2003, but do they pre-date this? No, I'm pretty confident 84 was the first, as its theoldest one I have and I'm certain that had an 83 version existed, I have had it. Air Display International wasn't bad; ...

Re: Limit On Lens Size At Events!?!

I went to an NFL game in Tampa last year where there was a limit on your lens of 18 inches in length. I didn't risk it, I just took the camera with a 28-135 on, but it would be a good use for a DO lens

Wouldn't be without mine, although I've never used it on anything aircraft related. A satisfied 430EX user here.

Re: T-Birds

Here's four from me. I've always liked the T-33. North Weald 86 http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn177/WrexhamMackem/NorthWeald86019.jpg Church Fenton 89, and an in service CT-133 http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn177/WrexhamMackem/CF89012.jpg Woodford 91, same T-bird same year as Capercaillie'...

Re: Southport 080907

Some great shots here. I like an airshow photograph to convey a sense of the show location if possible, and that Swift team takeoff shot does it nicely; that's definitely Southport!

Cracking set

Second that, its a smashing line up.

I will look for a few of those rare participants cropping up in a mainland lineup next year. Woodford would have nabbed a couple a few years ago.

Re: Just my luck

This has benn my least remarkable season since my first in 1976. RIAT was set to be an absolute cracker, but never was. A massive disappointment, especially given the blue skies of show weekend itself. The Vulcan? well, welcome back, but if you compare its first season back with its last before reti...

Re: Southport Airshow

Do I listen to my heart or head? Head says there's going to be absolutely no pleasure in getting wet and windblown, heart says I have to go, its an airshow. Sad to say head's winning at the moment. Such a shame, Southport is a cracking show, but it has truly lashed down all day, and probably more of...
