Would anyone happen to know whether there is an air display on the Friday or is it the battle re enactment only?

I know SW just updated their website but the new pages are a hot mess right now! The airshow info is hidden away…
Yes I agree, it's very clunky, difficult to find stuff and I would expect to be able to find all airshow related events and information together.

Re: Little Gransden 2021

Andy/Alpha Delta, again many thanks for the updates, very useful information. I would like to catch some take offs and landings too so I may wander a little rather than stay put for this one if it's not too busy. It sounds like a 400mm will be perfect. I'm looking forward to it.

Re: Little Gransden 2021

Andy, many thanks for posting this, very useful information for me as a first timer. As you have indicated, the runway is not the display line, but what's the view like back from the fence line and how busy does it tend to be?

Re: Shuttleworth Vintage Weekend 4-5th September

That's a bummer, the Swordfish was the deal clincher for me as I was deciding between Cosby and the Shuttleworth. Don't get me wrong, it's still a good line up, especially if the Lancaster turns up.

That must have been one of the fastest line up U turns ever.

Re: Camping at Tangerine Fields

I've used Tangerine Fields previously, though I don't remember having had to provide any evidence of the show days that I was attending to book the campsite so I'm pretty sure that you won't need a Friday show ticket to be able to book the campsite for Friday night. You will need to show your campsi...

Re: The Victory Show, Cosby 2021

Lancaster announced on their website and social media.

Sadly, Cosby’s been removed from Sally B’s website and looks like there’s no more aircraft announcements from the Victory Show
Seeing those two together would be a sight for sore eyes, has it ever happened?

Re: Flying Circus - Saturday 14 August

I didn't think the Lanc would make it for this weekend, unfortunately. £45 is a big ask for a slimmed down show but the Lanc could have sold it to me. I guess I'll have to cut the grass and stoke the BBQ instead.

Re: Duxford Airshows 2021

There's only so many times a spitfire flying right to left can be entertaining. Personally I don't ever get bored with seeing a Spitfire or two, so long as they go left to right as well. BluffPilot is right though, it's also nice to have some variety. I'm sure that a Spitfire and/or a Hurricane wil...

Re: Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow 2021 - September 18th & 19th

Yes, Friday is a normal day so you shouldn't have any issues getting in. I went on the Friday before the Summer show (and again on Saturday) but only arrived at about 3pm due to work commitments and traffic but I still managed to see the P47 and 2x P51 display, the Tiger 9 practice, Strikemaster arr...

Re: Duxford Airshows 2021

Well maybe you can give them a lead as to where they can source flying versions of the DH Hornet, EE Lightning, Phantom FGR.2 etc. The Squadron did fly a variety of aircraft including the Spitfire (though not the 1a I believe), P-51D and I'm sure some of the pilots must have trained on the Harvard. ...

Normally they have a caption that states 'stock images' or 'previously recorded images'. I would be surprised if they didn't do that.
