Wonderful "1940" line-up, very appropriate! just needs a Mk.1 Hurri adding to it...

You could be right as this was in an email from Ultimate Warbird Flights today: "A massive congratulations to Mike Ling for completing his first solo flight in The Grace Spitfire yesterday, We think the huge grim says it all!"

Duxford Friday 16th October:

My Duxford visits are rare at the moment, but I managed a couple of hours this afternoon.
IWM's new Spitfire replica is now positioned on the Hangar Base. It represents AA937 of the Duxford based AFDU, circa 1943. Not a bad representation, and it can stay outside all winter ! (But shouldn't it have clipped wings ?)

This visiting Super Cub is ex Royal Netherlands Air Force, but I will remember it from a passenger flight from Glasgow to Strathallan in 1984:
