Hercules XV301 and 221 were retired yesterday for disposal by Air and Ground and arrived throughout the day and a third k ferried the crew out,
in between that we helped put Jet Provost XP672 (T4) that arrived in overnight by truck from Gamston back together.
camera phone images only i'm afraid.

Thanks for the update.
I didn't know Brunty was also in the business of scrapping RAF C130's as well.
Is the JP a runner or just a static?

Where are the Herc's parked mate?
Are they photographable for us outsiders?

Re: New arrivals at bruntingthopre
The Hercs are parked well away from the other aircraft and not accessible from the museum. The track goes right past them but i'd suspect they'll be fenced off pretty quickly and fairly hard to photograph fairly quickly

Any idea why no Herc's are being preserved in a UK museum yet?

Hi,
I visited Cosford on Thursday on the way back from holiday. They told me that a Herc was due in for preservation on the Friday (12th), and that they were the only Museum allocated one for preservation. I was supposed to be visiting Cosford on the Friday but had to leave a day early, Bu**er! Shame Bruntingthorpe could not have kept one, would have been a good aquisition!
