For those that know me it may be a supprise that this was my first Newark nightshoot, butt it certainly wont be my last. Like penpusher I too wanted to spend the whole day at the musuem. There is plenty to see and the time spent there flew by. Also being there early meant I saw the arrival of the newest exhibit, which to me was an old friend in that it was the former flight simulator from Elvington.
1.
2. The undoubted Highlight for me in the shoot was the Viggen being outside. here basking in the warm october sun.
3. The hastings looks very smart now painted.
4. I believe Captain Tango has retired, however his Polish cousin Igor was present to show off the Mig 23.
5.
6. There were 4 aircraft in the Nightshoot, starting with the Viggen.
7.
8.Lightning
9. Meteor NF14.
10. Jaguar.
11. There are so many more tasty subject in the museum, so I took my Torchess along and the rest of the shots are paint by light. Also ty to Jwanerxh588 and co for tagging along on the painting part. First the Sled.
12.Hastings.
13.Shack.
14.Mig 23.
15. Finally back to the Viggen to get it in proper dark.
16.
17. The last shot of the night I made a mess, as when I was back lighting I went too low with the torch and ended up with the Viggen "strobing" but I still like it!
A very enjoyable day and big thanks to the small team who gave their time up to set the lights and looked after us. Also a big thanks to the canteen staff who stayed behind and gave us the Delicious stew I will be back to any future event and can only encourage you guys to persist in getting the next one. I will also be back for the excellent Aeroboot on saturday and more Toasties!

The 'off-piste' images provide another insight to the site - when I saw the yellow torch I thought you were off 'lamping' in the Southfield Site!
Everyone's positive feedback will be fed into the system and hopefully may help stimulate a 2014 diary date!!
