Re: XH558 Dusk Photoshoot
Lights on in the cockpit and intake covers removed would have helped make it more photogenic. At least the bomb doors are open.

If it was, I'd be demanding a refund! Bad enough not firing up the electrics, but to leave the intake blanks and towbar on...
Awww, but then you'd have had nothing to moan about.

Hi Kam68,
Apologies if you think this detracts away from your undeniably good pictures.
It's just if this was part of their photoshoot, when compared to others photoshoots, their effort to make it special and add lights, cockpit lights, lack of tow bar, removal of engine intake covers and positioning that could have helped the photographer, are really lacking and a poor return for your investment.
However if it was just a private shindig, please accept my apologies for detracting from your pictures.
Cheers
Dave

Re: XH558 Dusk Photoshoot
No problem Dave.
It was the £60.00 event. From talking to the team it was put on at late notice and was the first time they'd done a night shoot. The team were open about that and were receptive to the feed back we gave at the end of the shoot e.g. the lighting and positioning of the aircraft, starting earlier in the afternoon, higher elevation points to give different angles, covers removed, marshalling the photographers etc ...
I hope all the criticism doesn't put the team off from doing another event in the Spring, giving them the chance to implement the changes suggested.
Keith.

Shame they didn't read this forum in advance. It'd all been posted here within 30 minutes or so of the event having been announced!
Re: XH558 Dusk Photoshoot
The first picture is really excellent, dramatic and beautiful capture. I actually like the effect of the red intake covers, it adds something to the overall compsosition but it would have been good to have them removed for some of the other shots.

Re: XH558 Dusk Photoshoot
The first picture is great, and the others are all pretty good - but with a bit more thought (on VTTS's part) it could have been fabulous.
A shame really!
Still, if you've got the money - £60.00 for that top shot (and a nice evening out i'm sure) is not obsene.
