Twilight at Bruntingthorpe - Lightnings, Beach 18s & Guppy

Post by Novova »

Hi all,

Hopefully better late than never, here are some shots of our trip to Brunters to see the Twilight Reheat run. Sadly, due to an attack of incompetence I choked on the reheat shots and they'll need some serious 'shopping to get them up to scratch. That said RRConway and me had great fun shooting the Super Guppy. We also found two Beach 18s hiding on the edge of the airfield. They were in immaculate condition and we were torn between shooting them in some lovely evening light and missing the reheat briefing. A big thank you to the Lightning Preservation Group, and to the staff who were so helpful and accommodating.

Thanks for looking, and comments welcome!

Great set Andy :clap:
Favourite for me are 7, 10, 13 and 14. They have a film kind of feel to them?

We'll have to practice our Lightning screaming up the runway technique :lol:

Cheers,
Jeff.
I know you think you understood what I said, but I'm not sure you realise that what I said is not what I meant.

Hey! Thanks all for the great comments. Really appreciate the positive feedback :biggrin:

@hmeasures: Thanks :) Glad I didn't over do it

@RRConway: Yeah, I cranked up the noise a little on those, and added some cross colour process to get the printed look.

Thanks again all :up:

The Lightning B&Ws could have been authentic sixties shots, superb.
