07 MAY - BBMF incident this afternoon.

Gents,

I just happened to be at the 07 end of Coningsby's runway when this afternoons incident occurred. Excuse the image quality please, the runway shots are obviously long crops, the close ups suffer from a rushed (and poor) exposure.

That last picture shows some heat way back of the cowling under the wing, will be a lot of looking and testing
and repairs before she takes to the sky again.
will be a good while if heat as distorted or gone in to the wing struts.
