Sywell's newest Buchon emerges

Post by p51cjb »

Popped over to Sywell on Wednesday to catch a few Spitfire and Mustang pleasure flying sorties and was pleasantly surprised to see the latest Buchon from Air Leasing in action too. Pete Kynsey took her up for two flights - I gather she flew for the first time on Monday - in preparation for a planned debut appearance at Legends. Between the two flights, she was taken back into the hangar and emerged with new badges applied on fuselage and tail.

Thanks for looking.

The latest Buchon is an interesting subject, great shots & narrative. Is the barely visible 'White 5' as far as the markings will go?

I don't know for sure but I suspect that the white 5 will remain as is but you will notice that any photos from now onwards should have the badges below the cockpit swapped around. I gather that the eagle's head should point forwards not backwards and this has now been corrected as you will see in the latest Sywell thread in this section.
