A Historic Waffle forum would be very welcome. When I first visited the old place I could easily spend 2 or 3 hours on the forum and visiting here for the first time yesterday I spent a long time looking around and suddenly realised I hadn't done most of the things I should have done during the day. That is just he way a forum should be but I must get on with my vintage slot cars today otherwise I won't have anything to race for the next meeting..
A sunny morning saw a visit from Jodel D.140A G-ARDZ. Not everyone's idea of a historic aircraft, but built in 1960 and possibly the oldest Jodel flying in the UK (?)
By the time Puss Moth G-ABLS went for a local trip, the light had deteriorated:
Thank you David for migrating your beautiful photos from Duxford to a much better platform! I've really missed your (and others') updates since the Key Forum self-destructed. I also like your suggestions for the way forward.
It's great to see so many familiar members' names already back here, it's like a home from home.
Long may this continue and here's to a successful winter service for Sally B. My Fiance and I became supporters this year to replace our IWM Membership (which sadly replaced Friends of Duxford) - we wanted to put some money and support directly back into Duxford itself.
Thank goodness that once again I have a place to go for my regular Duxford fix!

No need for an historic waffle section, the whole spectrum of chat is covered in there, there's threads for Just Jane, The Peoples Mosquito, British Phantom Aviation Group, Shackleton WR963 etc etc,

Another newbie to the forum a member of the other for many years never even bothered signing in to it again as it’s a shambles. Just one thing I know Duxford Diary is picture heavy but think it would be great for it to be in aviation waffle so that we can find in one place without navigating various pages. Just my thoughts Well done DD for finding new hme Cheers all!
You may be interested to know that, weather permitting, the Blenheim in the very capable hands of Mr Romain will be doing the poppy drop at 14.00 pm on Sunday, November 10th, as part of Duxford's Remembrance Day activities.
I'm delighted this thread has lived on. The Duxford Diary was always a highly respected, valuable source of information and enjoyment. It's good to see its significance has registered here, and it's equally great to see a number of Key posters jumping across. What a shame that forum has degenerated to trash after a needless "upgrade", removal of knowledgeable moderators and installation of some new mods who lack the depth of experience and knowledge needed in such a place. Not entirely surprising.
I think a historic sub-forum (/splitting Waffle into sub-sections) would have made reasonable sense, given modern mil is dying (and its fanbase losing their mojos at an alarming rate), airshows are now predominantly historic affairs, the vintage scene is thriving, and the less said about the civilian scene, the better (not that I don't enjoy the odd white tube). It could encourage the kind of impassioned, in-depth discussion Key was known for. Regardless, Key's loss is very much UKAR's gain.
Looking forward to monitoring this thread as the months press on! Keep up the great work, all.
DCW - Good to see DD thread alive and well in it's new home. Like many others, I too have jumped ship from it's former home, and look forward to seeing the thread continue on here. Paul F
Another vote for a dedicated Historic section. Lots of good info was posted on the Flypast Forum and that appears to now be lost. Whilst I understand UKAR host this website for airshow related activities times have changed and there is now less to report. I am sure the increased 'foot fall' for new users will prove of value to the website as a whole. I hope the management and moderators agree. regards Paul aka Doughnut (aka CADman)
