It's going to Lambeth Road next year.

Duxford Friday 27th December 2019.

Noted visiting Duxford today was this 1951 build Auster Autocrat named 'Austerix The Gaul':

Regarding MT928/MV154,

She's now been issued with British civil reg G-BKMI, whether that's to facilitate test flights following repair or if it's a more permanent move, I don't know.

As yet another refugee from Key (having been there 20 years, from when we had to chisel messages into tablets of stone), I'd just like to say a big thanks to Duxman, DCW et al for their hard work in keeping us updated with what goes on at DX, and looking forward to what 2020 brings.

According to my database of Spitfires this a/c previously wore this registration between 1993 and 2007 before going to Germany. Don't know if that is significant but I tend to think it may be more than temporary.

Duxford Monday 30th December:

Today's sunshine brought plenty of visiting light aircraft, including 1967 Horizon G-AVRS:

Work continues on the Ohka project in Hangar 5. The wing/fuselage fillets are currently being worked on:

The wreckage of Spitfire IX RK858 arrived at Duxford on 3/9/1992 following recovery from Russia by The Fighter Collection with ownership subsequently passing to HFL. It has spent most of the time since in storage at both Duxford and Audley End . Registered now as G-CGJE it was noted ownership was passed to Propshop at Duxford on 29/11/2019.

Seen below at Duxford the day after its initial arrival.

Interesting that the remaining camo and national markings appear to be the original British ones. Russian WWII paint presumably not very durable!

Thanks for keeping this great thread going.
Unusually, for me, I haven't made it to DX for several months, so it's been great to keep up to date from afar.
Looking forward to next year's edition!

It's time to wind up the Duxford Diary for 2019.
Things have settled down nicely in our new home, we'll continue with the same format as soon as there's something to report.
Many thanks for all the positive comments, hopefully there will be plenty happening in 2020.
My personal thanks go to all the staff and volunteers at Duxford whose help makes the Diary possible.
