NATO confirmed their attendance a long time ago. They want to send a E-3D for static but its still TBC
Where are they getting that from?

A question (i'm not that knowledgeable about these type of things) but how comes the SWAFHF can display all round Europe without any issues, but not the UK? Is this because of what happened at Shoreham?

I've never seen a Lansen, Scooter, or AMX in the air so really looking forward to departures already! With a supporting cast of Meteor, Hunter, Viggen, Draken etc it will be rather good for the Cold War jets!

In short, yes.

Another stellar update - great work DBH :-)

Do I win a prize for guessing the Canadians & the JHC confirms?

Well happy with that update, especially the Polaris & the Swedish Historic Flight trio. Hope they arrive on either the Weds or Thursday!

Well spotted. Looks like Friday attendees will see them airborne, albeit not displaying.

They're supposedly selling tickets on the day 😊

Maybe, but previous Fridays have had aircraft that arrived earlier in the week still unaccessible!

Great news! Do i just turn up at P&V and they will sell me a ticket? Why are they showing as sold out on the website?

Initials and missed approaches must class as normal operations. A flypast may be considered a display? Lets wait and see.

Not as part of a display I don't think - whether they can perform a missed approach and go around as they arrive I don't know (although something rings a bell about missed approaches being banned at RIAT a few years ago???)

I don't imagine they would want to come for the weekend to perform a few flypasts and then have to be tucked away where they couldn't be properly appreciated, especially as DBH have hinted in today's update that they are part of the training theme, so I would guess they're going to form a key part of the static display.

I was hoping for some flying from the planes that were on that Amber list as we are quite close to the event.

When Riat says they are now extending the flying display to fit everything in, I'm not so sure, is there really enough flying for more than 7 hours?

Good update, glad to see support types listed, although I'd hazard a guess an Italian Herc will arrive at some point for the Frecce and at least two of the multitude of Swiss types available (PC24, Falcon, Citation, Be1900, Challenger - whatever they still use) will support the F-18s and PC7s.

Swedes are the undoubted pick this week, nice to see a Polaris back.

As has been said more times than I care to count, the traffic light system is to give you some insight in to ongoing discussions. It does not mean anything that is amber may be sending aircraft nor how close they are to confirming, if indeed they are coming.

If you're interested in them in the flying display, my opinions on those currently amber are...

French Navy - no display teams this year so no chance
Indian Air Force - unlikely to bring one of their display teams over, fairly sure we'd have heard about it by now
Japan Air Self Defense Force - Not a chance
Qatar Emiri Air Force - as above
Royal Thai Air Force - as above
Turkish Air Force - the only real possibility now
Turkish Land Forces - no chance of a flying display
US Air Force - unless there's a USAFE approved flypast I think we're beyond this stage
US Army - no chance
US Navy - no chance

For statis display I doubt we'll see anything from the Aeronavale, nor India, Japan, or Thailand. Qatar may bolster their Hawk with a Typhoon if it's handed over in time (or they bung some more money Warton's way I suppose!). Turkish Land Forces are possible with the T129 which is heading for Farnborough, and there's still a chance of US assets; Ramstein C-130, Weisbaden based Huron or Citation, maybe a SHAPE Blackhawk, US Navy E-6B have been decent supporters in the past too, perhaps a P-8 unit although they're all very heavily engaged in operations at the moment.

I'm fairly sure that the good folk at DBH have a pretty good idea how much time they need for the flying displays they have arranged.
