Manchester 15.07.13

A few months ago, BMI released sale prices from Aberdeen to Manchester so I couldn't resist a day of civi spotting! The spotting areas at the airport are simply fantastic if you like head on etc. They are very easy to access and are great for photograph.

I boarded the EMB145 at Dyce, only to be told that the RVR at manchester was below 150m and that we had been reallocated a slot an hour and a half away. After an hour delay we took off and headed south. We flew straight over Leuchars and it was great to see the base from so high up!

Once round at the 23L runway at Manchester, the traffic just started flowing. It was rather busy and the sun was out - a perfect start to the day!

Overall, it was a great day! I even managed to get a little sun burn...

Nice selection from a very varied day by the looks. You'd be hard pushed to beat a day at Man with the sun shining in my mind. Photographic access along 23L is, as you say, superb.
