The joint helicopter command (or whatever it is called) are really taking their time with confirming what they can send to RIAT this year (chinook demo self-confirmed ages ago).

JHC probably trying to work out who deals with helicopters within their organisation, and then from there will need to work out who deals with helicopters in the UK, then helicopters in the UK when flying, then helicopters in the UK when flying in the UK, then helicopters in the UK when flying in the UK to or at an event, and then finally which person is responsible for contacting the person responsible for helicopters in the UK when flying in the UK to or at an event.

That's if there's anyone there that bothers reading emails in the first place.

Too busy comparing choppers by the sounds of it?

Do you think the Chinook will turn up anyway even if JHC haven't gone through all of your listed protocol?

Tomorrow - hoping for some more USAF statics & something from the Navy. Got to be time soon for the RNLAF to say what they have available, hoping they'll have a couple of 16s because they can't have long left in service. Like others I would love to see The Turkish Stars return to RIAT & I wonder if any of those rare countries (Egypt, Thai, Zambia) will turn green 🤔

Also, hoping for some positive news about the extra Czech fliers that haven't yet been confirmed...

The info is inaccurate. For example, Fleet Week shows the F35 which has now been moved to Salinas. i.e. don't get your hopes up.

Gut feeling for me is the Dutch NH90, possibly a pair of F-16’s, maybe the new A330?

Dare I say it wouldn't be the first time squadrons have taken event participation in to their own hands!

I'd be happy with no cancellations and a couple of decent statics, maybe from the Canadians or Dutch.

No matter what they confirm today it will be a sad update for me - I was so exited what Egypt or zambia could potentially send.
