Nice shots in tricky conditions. Would have preferred a standard camo cab for the Hind, but it's a better scheme than the 'Alien Tiger' at least.

Any word on rehearsals for tomorrow?

Don't know about timings or anything but the Hind/Hip are down as flying as a pair early in the display programme and the Hind as a solo item later in the afternoon.

I saw that actually. Great stuff. Hopefully they’ll fly a PD later today when there’s a chance of sunshine between the showers. 🤞

Sadly no light for the helicopters yesterday, so these are the best I can salvage.

Not getting any of the ~80 photographers in the shot was a miracle!!

Duxford Wednesday 21st September:

TFC's Spitfire V EP120 is back from a weekend at Goodwood and has already reverted to the clipped wing configuration. She also is now wearing a Royal Cipher, in common with other aircraft and vehicles at the Goodwood Revival.
Many thanks to MC.

Do we know what the long term plans are for the aircraft? I can't imagine the Conservation Area will be its future home or left outside (which would make it the only IWM aircraft not undercover).

Thanks for the pics DCW

I believe it has been said a few times that it will stay in the Conservation Area of Airspace until there is a reshuffle of the main Airspace hall.

(But then again, words to that effect were said when the BAe Typhoon arrived :face_with_monocle: )

Grumman FM-2 Wildcat G-KINL noted out compass swinging this afternoon at Duxford. First flight cannot be far away.

Great work on the Victor - oddly not mentioned that the resto was started after a petition from the public :)
