I must get there one day. whereabouts is the cafe' situated?
Don't bother running, you'll only die tired!!

Encouraged by the photos 'Richard in Kent' takes, I went to Biggin Hill last year but found that the airfield is absolutely encased in security fencing, as is the cafe.
I can only imagine that Richard has airside clearance.

Google 'Lookout Coffee Shop' BH.
Re: Biggin Hill - 9th July 2022
The fence is just around the new hotel construction isn't it?
Re: Biggin Hill - 9th July 2022
Most of the 03 end is surrounded by a high chain-link fence but down the 21 end it's lower fences and hedgerows ( unless it's changed since last I was down that end )

Isn't the lookout cafe at the 03 end. It would be good to get some clarification from shooting at the cafe

Hi Everyone
I only joined here a month ago after seeing Black Projects photos from Biggin Hill and I was looking for somewhere I could post some of my photos. I think I may even have spoken to him at the Cafe on one of our visits last month.
All the photos in this post and some others I intend to post soon are taken from inside the cafe area, either at the tables you can see in aceyone's photo or some more that are around the corner to the right. The fences are as shown but you can still get reasonable photos through them if focusing far enough away. Anything closer I hold my camera up and shoot over the fence!
Whilst there we make sure to use the cafe for a constant supply of food and drink as this seems fair for the use of their ground. I have looked at maybe trying to take photos from different areas but haven't tried it yet.
To finish with here is a bit more about the cafe, although it's worth checking the opening hours before going as they do change.

Re: Biggin Hill - 9th July 2022
I have a secret Weapon for taking photos in side the Look outs Fences I take a Small Folding Stool with me that gives me another 6-7 inches to add to my 6 feet 4 height 1.93 Metres in new Money so I can get over the Fence, Although the fence near the Flying club area is short enough for me not to need the Stool and across from the Cafe at the 03 End towards the Former RAF Station is a small grass Slope that gives good views of Traffic coming and going from the hotel Taxi way and some times Machines at the new Bombardier Super hangar I think it is Building 401.
These were taken from the Grass slope on the North Side of 03.
These are to the Left hand Side of building 401.

Some of the hangars on the South Side I hope these Help I was using my 80-400 Sigma Lens.
