Yeah me to calling off! Hope the Sunday works out good. It is a great shame our UK weather is so messed up! Maybe next year.

I can only make tomorrow, and as much as I would love to go, I’m just about fed-up of getting wet at air shows this year (including today).

weather was nice at first (sunny with clouds0 but VERY windy. later in the show the weather deteriorateed and during some of the displays visibility was nothing!! Display cancelled 30 mins from end and the spits, hunter meteor and a few others did not display. hoping to head back tomorrow to ccatch them (organisers sounded more optimistic for tomorrow).

Given the forcasts and recent weather, I was pleased the rain held out as long as it did. Especially nice to see 558 in some sunshine.
Hoping to head back again tomorrow myself...

That can't have been taken this year, it looks as though it was a very dry (and dusty) day!

I think you're wrong.
I'm informed by a very reliable source that the man in the hat spent the first part of the show on the control tower and was later sighted behind the Airacobra before retiring to the pilot's tent to avoid the rain.
Re: Weather at september show
I did notice a significant lack of Hat on the fuel bank yesterday, but at least I didnt have a completly hat less day:grin:

I decided against going today and at the minute I think I've made the wrong decision. Nowhere near was windy here today although it is quite gloomy.

Wel 45 mins away from Duxford where I am its looking really peachy, nearly clear blue sky and minimal wind. Wether its different at Duxford to the north I don't know, but I'm guessing my descision to not go for the second day on the trot hasn't been a good one I've decided I'm emigrating...

Mr A, that's a member of the airshow flight control team. It looks like you're suffering from premature shutter release if you're taking shots like that.
