Thanks for all your work compiling the lists! It has made for a rather exciting buildup.

An excellent gathering by all accounts, hats off to the American contingent for their dedication and commitment to this event and the other operators from around Europe.

All 23 Dakotas have now arrived at Duxford. There are no more arrivals expected so the full participation list is:

This will be the last report I do as we aren’t expecting any further additions. Hopefully these daily reports over the past 3 weeks have helped a few people out and answered a few unknowns  I’m off to Duxford on Tuesday and Wednesday to hopefully see these what all these numbers and names actually look like.

Have a great show everyone!

All information is accurate at time of posting. Please do say if I’ve made any mistakes and I’ll edit the posts.

Thanks for the info! Great!

Apologies if I am being thick here, the IWM FAQs, state that there are no Flightline walks but are Apron walks.

What is the difference?

Is it just as far as the edge of the concrete taxiway?

I'm guessing that a flight line is normally the whole length of the flight line ( so most of the concrete taxiway ) and that maybe they are calling the apron walk just around the east hard standing area, between hangars 1 and 2, where only a few aircraft will be parked.

Though I hope you are right and I'm wrong ;)

Don't obsess about the details of the programme

Just go, and enjoy the experience

Today was a cracking day. The actual flying bore little resemblance to the published programme, but there was lots of flying, and a nice, relaxed atmosphere compared with the hustle-bustle of a typical Duxford airshow day.

There is a shuttle bus from Cambridge train station if you're interested.

Any idea on timings for the shuttle bus on Wednesday?

Apologies if this has been posted already but there are 28 pages on this topic!!

Does anyone know what altitude they plan to be at on the routing down over Southend and across the Thames estuary on Wednesday, please?

I know the NOTAM is up to 3,500ft, so I am assuming (hoping) they'll be well below that...

Thanks

Even though it isn’t on the scale that we were hoping for, it is still a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and is something that is never going to be repeated. Regardless of the schedule, number of aircraft, the organisation, or even the dreaded ‘W’ word :hide: it will be a day to remember. Also please, at some point during the event, consider putting your cameras down and just taking in the moment.

I believe they will fly at 1,500ft. (The NOTAM just means no other aircraft can fly below that height)

Thanks mark_aviation - hopefully that's correct and I pick the right spot at Southend - it's a fairly wide corridor but again I'm working on the basis that they will be going down the middle!! (btw I'm a PPL holder so am aware about NOTAM meanings...)

Looks like it might be quite a wide formation also. I’m going to go to the East part of Beachy Head which isn’t too far of the middle.

Was the traffic / queuing a problem?

So, the car parks are open this early then?

Is the West car park the one right next to AirSpace/Visitor Centre?

That's East, one by the visitor centre is signposted for buses and disabled. West end is by the American Air Museum.

I came in from West (from Royston along A505) and no issues getting into car park. Sadly now got to wait over an hour before they open gates.

The West one isn’t, there’s the usually air show queue at the booths until they open the car park.
