So I assume the Sunday Spit Balbo was Peter T's last ever airshow appearance? Bit low key!

Apparentky not, as it is now reported that he will be appearing at a limited number of events next year.

I assume that he's not giving up flying altogether, just display flying?

That's correct. In the latest issue of 'Flypast', he confirmed he'll still display at 'places he really likes and for people he really likes'.
