Remembrance Sunday, Duxford ~ 8th Nov20

Post by Pen Pusher »

In light of the latest government guidance on social distancing, IWM Duxford will not be holding its usual service on Remembrance Sunday this year. Instead, we will be encouraging visitors to mark Remembrance with a two minute silence and by visiting our exhibitions and exploring our permanent collections. A short flying display by a Mk1 Spitfire will also take place on Remembrance Sunday.

As we know this is a popular date to visit the site, we ask those intending to come on Sunday 8th November to pre-book general admission tickets.

From the FAQs
"If I am an ex-member of the military can I gain free admission on this date?"

Unfortunately, we do not offer discounts or free admission for ex-military personnel.

Disgraceful from Duxford, probably trying to recuperate some of the losses from the year

There was free admission for ex-military personnel when I first moved down here in 1995 and started going to Duxford on a regular basis, but that stopped not long afterwards.
