Live streaming?
Live streaming?
Is there going to be live streaming as in previous years, so that I can look in the `quieter moments' at work?
And could you supply the link?
thanks Ian

Here is the link for PlanesTV live streaming YouTube channel, they are broadcasting the flying display every day, starting today for the whole week. You can watch for free with adverts, or subscribe (£1.99 I think) to remove the adverts.

Re: Live streaming?
I keep dipping in and out of this stream and some of the comments and questions are staggering!!
Re: Live streaming?
Put it on full screen to avoid reading the ridiculous and childish comments. I really enjoyed that, only caught the last 3 aircraft but the Typhoon display was superb. Hopefully I can sneak in more than 15 minutes tomorrow!
Re: Live streaming?
Anyone have a link to today's live streaming?

Re: Live streaming?
Watching once again today, the Harrier display was very high and distant but boy was it good to see one in the air again over here, no bow but great to see some hover work included in the display.
Re: Live streaming?
Don't tell me another bird srike?! - just picking up that Red 8 has landed early and the reds dispay curtailed...??

Re: Live streaming?
Another Reds birdstrike, 3 in 3 weeks!
Re: Live streaming?
Obviously those new tails - must be dazzling to avian eyes.. How utterly bizarre, now down to 10 "special" jets, looks like that Black 208Sqn jet may get into the act!

Re: Live streaming?
Yep, Red 8 had the strike and after an in flight visual inspection landed safely. The rest then did 1 flypast and then a flypast and break before landing, gutted as they didn't do the gypo break which is my favourite maneuver. Glad the outcome was good, but 3 bird strikes in as many weeks is pretty bad, 2 at the same show!

As I understand it the bow takes a bit of practice to do, so no surprise it wasn't included.
The display definitely fell into the 'demo' category, very similar to the last Harrier displays the RAF did in 2010, which were just basically a series of non aerobatic flypasts before the 'party piece' hover.

Re: Live streaming?
A Farnborough Air Display where only 5 of the aircraft in the display are new on the market! Ridiculous?
