I'm eager to see the "fighter plane" version of the C-130 that is attending according to the public airshow website....

Sadly I think they are fine at organising the trade show but the air show element is probably only done by a couple of people and they probably didn't give the web team much info. I never get why they don't publicise the trade aircraft until the last minute. If I was paying thousands to have my aircraft there I would want to shout about it.
I would sum up Farnborough as brilliant if you are a spotter and want rare airliners like the previous Ethopian Dash 8, Tarom ATR, Mexican SSj etc, plus all the bizjets. But if you want to see the flying display just forget it. Just make it a static display with customer demos, I would be happy with that.

I do hope so that is exactly what Farnborough is about IMHO.

I’m seeing the flying bulls at Yeovilton and legends and although the harrier is good I just can’t justify the awkward drive and the lack of space on the crowd line

Yeovilton only has the BO-105 from the Flying Bulls.
Lack of space on the crowdline, bottlenecks by static and poor line-up to ticket price ratio has put me off the Farnborough public days for life (hence going on a trade day this time!)

I'd go on a trade day too, but the Harrier only seems to be down to display for Friday and the weekend.

Considering Delta are due to take delivery of their first CS300 later this year, I'm surprised that Bombardier aren't taking this opportunity to have one at Farnborough - even if just to rub Boeing's nose in it...

No no nothing expected until Monday 9th to the following Sunday. I will be there all week except Tuesday pm for the flypast and Friday for Fairford. Will be very difficult to see any static from outside due road closuers, and views of the flying will be distant.

I’m looking at purchasing a trade visitor pass for the Thursday - do you think there’ll be much flying on that day?
