A350,A400M,A320,Voyager,787 all on the 'floor' plan.

Nothing on the official list at the moment, 12 days before the show starts there are just 14 trade aircraft listed, ridiculous!

In terms of the public airshow days, I did see some replies by FIA on Facebook saying before they announce anything from Airbus or Boeing, they want to be really sure it will attend and not go home...

Why ridiculous? it's a trade show not a spotter fest. I quite like the suspense, like it used to be for every show.

Well wouldn't you think that companies that are paying £thousands to exhibit their aircraft at the show would like to advertise the fact to potential customers? I don't get why it is all kept secret until the last minute??

I am sure those who 'need to know' already know.

Suppose we can add LM-100j to the flying list, nice.

Probably bringing in aircraft. These are from an airline, Im guessing it might be Turkish participation as the 76's are from Azerbaijan? Can you get a S-70 in a IL-76?

Airbus A330-900neo for the flying display.
Let’s hope it stays for the weekend!

From the CAA foreign aircraft permits webpage -

10719 SILKWAY AIRLINES 08 JUL 2018 LTAE (0700) - EGLF (1100) 24 JUL 2018 EGLF (1100) - LTAE (1500) 4K-AZ100 and 4K-AZ101 29 June 2018.

Not sure if the permit means either aircraft can operate the flight, or both are coming?

I was just going to post that it is due 12:00 Sunday and out Tuesday afternoon. Originally I was told two but now unsure.

The website does say "4K-AZ100 and 4K-AZ101" so I assume it's two.

Means permits have been given for those aircraft to be able to operate, not that they both will be.

there is an earlier entry on the site for a Kalitta flight into STN, it gives about 14 B747 registrations, so I would guess it could be any airframe of the aircraft listed

For other entries it gives several registrations separated by "or". For this one, the two registrations are separated by "and" so I thought that means two :dunno:

How restricted are the roads already? Quite fancy a picture of the IL76 but are the usual vantage points available? Looks like they will be landing from the West

There's a thread about road closures here: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=81298

Seems like the closures start on Monday 9th July.

Most closures come in on Monday. Trouble is there is only parking for about 7 cars at Eelmoor Bridge. Alternative that end is Twsledown Racecourse, who have a free horse event on. You are right under the approach at about 2 miles. You can access the Aviator hotel end but if they roll to the end photos will be difficult due to show building clutter and close mesh fence.
