Lots of poor weather in the mix tomorrow, unfortunately. Some discussions I have heard - ATC at Shawbury have been advised that any planned practice displays (at this moment) at Cosford will be postponed. Obviously, it's a fluid situation and so this can't be taken as fact.

Would no practice mean no display on Sunday ?

It looks similar to today until late afternoon when it brightens up. Last year the 757 and Rafale practised quite late so hopefully it shouldnt be a problem.

Looks like it will be a very busy afternoon tomorrow. Still a lot to come in I suppose.

Anyone got an idea of what's on the ground atm ?

There’s been a couple of cancellations, but Peter is hopeful that a French Air Force TBM700 will make it today for a last minute static addition.

Im currently about 1 hour South of Cosford. Weather doesnt look great here. Rain is steady, sky very overcast , and wind is high but very blowy. Forecast says it should clear by mid-afternoon.
So Im on stand by and plan to hovver over Merry Hill , waiting to swoop in if the weather improves.

May I ask which bit of the weather will stop a practice or arrival ? Thanks guys.

Steady rain and low cloud at base currently.
The cafe is open though and does a damn good sausage sarnie.
Rain will stop before 1pm though.

Looks like it will go sunny/cloudy in the afternoon today through till late tomorrow so hopefully it will dry out the base and fields.

Hornet has a 2pm practise time, obviously weather dependant.

Thanks for the quick updates guys. Hopefully it does clear by 1pm then .

The Notam States that the Restricted area for the airshow is in operation 1300-1700 , does that mean nothing will fly in before 1pm anyway ?

Let’s hope so. Some forecasts have rain until 5pm, but nearly all agree it will be windy.

If today turns into a washout , the weather looks better for Monday morning so I might go for any departures if thats any good ?

Do you guys all watch from the railway station as Ive never been on an arrivals day ?

If so , I will be the guy with a fold up chair as i cant stand for long periods of time

Yes mate from the railway station, Ive never done departures but have done the last 5 years of arrivals, the railway station offers a great view of the base.

I don't know what it's like at Cosford, but here at Shawbury the cloud base is very low.

Do you have google maps mate? If so if you look at Cosford train station, just slightly to the North East there is a big car park, Ive always parked on here, its a 2 minute walk and you are able to see your car from the platform.
