Re: More info...........
Just thinking about this - there's an Tornado GR4 pilot on exchange at Whiteman at the moment (and indeed he's the subject of a very interesting interview in the current edition of Combat Aircraft) - I wonder if that might lend credence to the idea of a B-2 coming over for Fairford/Farnborough?
Just a thought.

Re: More info...........
$5m = c. £3.3m at current exchange rates, which would almost buy you a Formula One racing car. And perhaps a wheel rivet on a B-2.

Re: More info...........
Does anyone have a pic of the B2 landing at RIAT in 1997. I was there to see it and remember it being the first time one had ever landed in the UK but I was 9 at the time and didnt get any pictures.
Re: More info...........
Doesn't the Nimrod MRA4 work out at £400 million each, now we are only going for 9.

Not saying badgernelms is delibarately misleading us but personally i would wait till RIAT or other formal aviation websites (such as GAR and Flightline UK) to start getting you hopes up.
Especially writing about Thunderbirds that they may cancel the show in US to come to RIAT does not help his credibility...

I would just like to state that I said "Rumoured" about the thunderbirds and that I thought as they were already booked to fly that day I too think it wouldnt happen. I did state unless they cancel of which I too very much doubt. I only post here to give info of what I have gained from friends in the know. If you choose not to believe me then thats fine but please dont slag me off. Im confident my contacts are good as I have already prooven with the f22 announcement. Maybe RIAT tried to book them and failed in the bid.

My thoughts exactly. I come on here as part of the excitement of the airshow. I will always attend RIAT whatever but I still love to see what's rumoured and what might possibly attend. Keep the gossip coming... it helps to pass the time away.

I for one enjoy the rumours they are harmless and I do not base my decisions on them. Ultimately I will go whatever turns up but it does make the quieter months interesting especially between official updates and Moley clues which have been sparse this year

Was once Liveforriat2007 but that wasnt a great year so Ive decided to simply live for RIAT period.
