Got my passes today , letter enclosed says grandstand only goes from row A to K , anyone notice that ? so K is the bottom row of the grandstand not M

Ikarus,
There is an anomaly, some letters say K, some say M (mine does), this has been queried on FRIAT forum and awaiting response.
Will add everyone when I return from Kemble tonight.

Arg!..... Looks like I'll be last to add a seat. Canada Post is on strike at the moment. FRIAT package stalled somewhere....
Re: FRIAT 2011 Seating Plan Thread! - Plan updated 17/6!
I hope the current spreadsheet isn't indicative of actual ticket sales, or I'll have around 200 seats to myself!

I'm in B9 - am looking forward to my 18th year as a FIAT/ FRIAT member. Been looking back at the 1993 Aircraft checklist and realising how many aircraft types have gone just from the UK services - good grief!
Re: FRIAT 2011 Seating Plan Thread! - Plan updated 17/6!
Don't know if somebody has mentioned this before, but the FRIAT-Grandstand consists of 10 rows only in this year, lettered A to K (with Row I missing) plus X in front of the grandstand....
We will be K115 to K117 this year.

This will be my first ever trip to England and to RIAT. I am traveling from Atlanta, GA. USA for this show and the Duxford Legends show.
The seat I was assigned for my Mach 3 package is D168. From the spreadsheet layout, am I to assume that B170-K172 area is an aisle? How close to show center is the FRIAT seating area?
I also have another question for those who know the seating layout of the show. I will be photographing for two U.S. based aviation magazines, so I submitted and received media credentials for RIAT. Is there a designated area for the media? At most U.S. based air shows there is a "media pit" area at show center. Does RIAT have the same?
Thanks,
Clifford Martin

Hello,
I hope you enjoy your visit to the UK and Fairford in July. The press / media enclosure is usually next to the FRIAT enclosure, but I am not sure why you have signed up for a Mach 3 package if you have Media / Press accreditation?

To answer your question, I bought the Mach 3 package before I knew I was going to get the media credentials. And I was told my media credentials are only good for one of the weekend days, not both. I can tell things here are different than we have at U.S. air shows.
