The situation in Ukraine and the sanctions posed on Russia due to it make this very unlikely at Farnborough, let alone RIAT.

As much as I, and the majority on here, would love to see Russian hardware at RIAT, we simply won't get the chance to if the situation in Ukraine escalates or remains the same as it is now. Simple as.

I believe that the Russian manufacturers have been invited to attend, but no Russian officials etc. Think that was something which was discussed at the Farnborough press day?

Was that specifically USAF or the American DoD in general? And, was that before or after the announcement of the F35? Would be great to see some more American participation.

USAF and after the F35 announcement.

It will be interesting to see how this develops. Fingers crossed.
I don't know everything there is to know about our hobby.

How come they update on Thursdays?

Flying Bulls I think, wouldn't want to call anything else really that wasn't just a wishlist.

I'm very, very doubtful that this will happen but this would be just about my perfect (relatively realistic) update.

I think this Thursday will see the confirmation of the Flying Bulls attendance.
Maybe there is a slight possibility of flypasts by one or two RAF Brize aircraft as they have been confirmed for a few shows this year?

Pure speculation on my part, but I think the FAF A400M display is a possibility for RIAT. Particularly as we're not getting the Rafale or Ramex Delta.

It looks impressive given some of the photos posted of it's rehearsal on Twitter last week. Also helps address the issue of the lack of "heavies" in the flying.

The display looks awesome from those photos! Would be a good display to watch at RIAT

Do the FAF appear chuck it about a bit more than Airbus did last year? Would be a nice addition irrespective.

Regards French participation generally, is it more or less confirmed that Ramex Delta, and Rafale are not going to be appearing? Is there much hope that they might yet contribute some aircraft to static? Will the Mirage F1's be gone before July and what about the French Navy, do they display any of their aircraft?

I'm still very happy with the line-up for the flying display for RIAT but at the same time I can't help but look a little enviously at the Kleine Brogel line up.

Can only judge from the photos posted, but it does apparently feature a "full back stick take off" - which looks mighty impressive. Also appears to be lots of steep banks too.

That would be fun. However I can't think of anything that's indicated we're expecting something else from France?

That looks awesome. Fingers crossed for RIAT! And I'd love to see one in a wraparound camo but that's sadly never going to happen.
