Help needed - Disabled parking Friday

Post by NKC-135A »

Sorry to a bit off topic, I hope someone can help ?

I have bought a disabled friend in a wheelchair to the Park and View from Wed to Fri for about 10 years. I have to leave about 1 to 1-30 pm on Fri due to work commitments. This was fine when Fri was P&V but with the show now on a Friday it was a nightmare getting out of the show at lunchtime. Whilst the RIAT staff were very helpful they had no facility in place for someone to leave at lunchtime so it took well over an hour to get an outrider to escort us off the base and I was late for work.

So my question is this. Assuming they are landing fron the East on Runway 27, with cones everwhere does anyone know if there is somewhere I can park off base and push my friend along the Kempsford to Whelford Road to watch any arrivals until lunchtime on Friday.

Any help would be much appreciated - Thanks.

As I have had no repiles to my original request. Are there any campsites close the Kempsford to Whelford Road who allow paid day parking where I could park the car and push the wheelchair to the approach ?

Thanks

Perhaps see if the good folk at DBH can suggest something? I know how busy they will be but maybe if they are aware you're coming and will need to leave at lunchtime they might be able to suggest something? :dunno:
