Osprey on the Sunday. Could hardly complain this year with the line-up but that would have topped it off nicely.

Separate special event/ fly-by for each of the 3 days just to annoy those who choose to only go for one day and then moan they picked the wrong day.

Not sure if it's possible to do, but given its the centenary of the RAF, it would be nice to see as many commonwealth countries as possible present. Have the Australian Roulettes ever visited before? Would it even be logistically possible?

2018 should be the biggest flying/static display possible, celebrating the centenary of the RAF - maybe extend the display time by half an hour each day. One would expect significant US contribution (again); it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility to expect the B-2 back, but in even bigger capacity - the close military partnership between the two countries should be recognised - indeed the 8 AF were very significant during WW II.

But really, given the lengthy planning 2018 has been under (the potential rumours for debuts), I think it could be 'historic'...

After the more than half decent way the USAF supported this years event I can only hope that there is some way of making a decent British event.
Not sure the great war display team will cut it though..

I enjoyed their appearance there in 2008.
As for RAF support....it's not just that - in my opinion they really need to attract as many of the declining number of privately owned ex-RAF types ( both piston & jet ) even if they're just on static.

For me, Frecce Tricolori & French Mirages. Couldn't get there this year, but will buy Mach 3 as soon as it goes on sale for 2018.

Can anybody tell me when they start selling FRIAT tickets, and how fast do Mach 3 tickets usually sell out?

Regards,

Any a/c museum/private with RAF connections in a time-line up, similar to the 2003 celerbration of flight scenario... :yahoo:

I think they have their work cut out as Im trying to think of how the RAF can provide something really spectacular (in the air). Every year, it seems to be foreign aiircraft that provide the highlights so its very hard to think of something.

Flying Harrier from USA? (I know, a big long shot)

Mossie?

Even mass Spitfire flights are relatively common ...its a tough one
