Yep, doesn't look promising does it, however the RIAT webmaster might be having a brew and pulling our chain and waiting.... :ninja:

Bit Gutted but then again, some real stars of the show. I have been looking at the list and a must see for me are:

C-17 US, Brize Heavies, B-52, Fly Navy 100, Vulcan, C-27, 757, F-16, F-18 x 3, Rafale, Gripen, Breitling etc.

Just realised this time next week I will be pulling up at Kempsford and setting up

Not to put a downer on the topic but...What are you actually waiting for?

Why would a star item will be added just a week before the show thats an advance ticket event?
The B-1 has been confirmed as not flying so there cant be much else surely of worthy note now? ??

so the star of the show is going to be the hornets? superb display though!!! the in cockpit from DVD riat 07 is stunning!

a little dissapointing at RIAT this year, operational duties etc. but somehow i can't help thinking after the events of last year would some airforces might be thinking the cost and logistics, blue skies and we didn't fly last year? oh well, onwards and upwards . .ish.

With regards to the B1 not flying, it appears we are incredibly lucky to have one on static as there does not appear to be any B1 attending any stateside shows this year, on the calendar its not atleast. hope you all have a fantastic time at the show,
Callum

However optimistic some of us and maybe indeed the organisers of RIAT were I think there was always going to be a small backlash after last years cancellation. Having said that it is a non Farnborough year, the world ecomnomic climate is not great and we and others are heavily involved in operations in Afghanastan. When all this is taken into account the show is looking very good probably as good as 2007, the last non Farnborough year.

There are always going to be years when the show suffers slightly there always have been and there always will be. I think next year will be a test, hopefully the world be in a better state financially and also to see if confidence is restored in world air arms that RIAT is viable. A solid show this year will go a long way in restoring some lost faith by some maybe?

I know a lot has been said about the european shows still maanging to get good line ups but after looking at the recent belgian and austrian shows im sorry but I dont see it. Sure there were some good acts displaying but there was nothing, imho that even cam close to RIAT.

It must also be remmbered that I think UK Arishows do very well to get the foreign participation that they do, when it is taken into account that the RAF do very little foreign participation. This may leave foreign airarms wondering why they should bother sending their kit to our shores when we rarely reciprocate.

Really looking forward to this years show now, even if I can only attend 1 show day (Sunday) due to being out of work.
In fact I didn't order my tickets untill yesterday  but can't be arsed with the crowdline dash this year so have had a grandstand seat instead

No more additions? Never mind.................it's looking great as it is. I just hope the cancellations list doesn't grow
And fingers crossed................ :vulcan:
Same old sh*t.............just happening on a different day!!!
