With just over a week to go until the start of the 2019 Air Tattoo we're back with another addition to our NATO flypasts! The French Air Force will be providing a KC-135R tanker to the already announced line up, which you can read about here.
The French Navy also confirms an Embraer Emb-121 Xingu on static display

Hmm, oh well, an extra aircraft for the static display and weather permitting an extra heavy for the flypast. (And won't a French KC-135 look a lot like a USAF KC-135 at 1000 feet?)

I followed the link to the NATO flypast update (updated 11 July) and it says this:
We can now reveal more about the special 70th anniversary flypast being planned to showcase NATO's air power capabilities at the 2019 Air Tattoo. This will be the only official NATO flypast taking place at a UK airshow this summer.

Joining the already confirmed NATO E-3A AWACS will be aircraft from Belgium, Denmark, Germany the United States of America and the UK.

The additional aircraft will include F-16AM fighters from the Belgian Air Component, whilst Germany offers a substantial commitment with Eurofighter EF2000s, A400M and Tornado strike aircraft.

The Royal Danish Air Force will also contribute with F-16 fighters, whilst the United States Air Force will be joining the flypast with F-15 aircraft from RAF Lakenheath. The Royal Air Force also plan to provide Typhoon fighters.

This commemorative flypast is due to take place on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 July. Where the flypast aircraft will operate from is yet to be confirmed, although it is hoped that some will be based at RAF Fairford.

We are still working on special flypasts for Sunday 21 July and will bring you more news as soon as we can.

I can't spot anything in there that is updated information. It doesn't even mention the KC-135. Is there some new information in there?

I honestly would have thought that they'd have now worked out what is operating from where by now. Flight and ground crew accommodation, support equipment, staff at whatever airfield(s) they do use.

Is it definitely one of their KC-135Rs or maybe this or a C-135FR?

Either way why is it listed under France and not the nation of NATO Flypast?

Interesting that the NATO E-3 is down as an E-3D?

Good to see so much of the flypast will be operating from Fairford.
