If we do see an UK F-35 demo next year I wouldn’t expect anything substantial.

When they began displaying the Typhoon in 2004 it was a limited role demo rather than a full display.

I’d expect something similar to the 2016 display.

(and even many static appearances too). I was under the impression that the Romanians were expediting there acquisition of second hand F-16s and that a Mig-21 solo display would be highly unlikely to happen ever again.

I don't know what the chances of a MiG-21 solo display are, but the grounding order was lifted a couple of weeks after the tragic crash in July. Polish Fitters returned to the air a month or so ago, and Fulcrums a couple of weeks ago. It's anyone's guess if they're going to go back to display flying.

As discussed in the Radom airshow thread, Slovak Fulcrums were not grounded and have/are training up a display pilot.

Ticket Warning!

We've nearly sold out of First Class Lounge for Saturday!

Make sure you book today to avoid disappointment!

Seems it isn't just the SEB tickets selling well.

If you see Brevet, tell him!

Probably because everybody is so impressed with the menus for next year ( which have already been published for the various enclosures )

All right, let’s see if we get any USAF Demo’s over this year. Just an hour to go until we find out!

The American contribution to RIAT is mostly about the static displays. Whilst it's a shame they currently don't plan on providing a flying display it's hardly the be all and end all.
Remember: they don't have to send us anything at all.

Disappointing.

Snowbirds show as TBA for the RIAT weekend at the moment actually. But that’s a pretty long trek for them.

RCAF were interested in sending the Snowbirds this year, only took a quick look at the costs and it was ruled out.

Yup,

Not a single ACC demo team for 2019 (pending Heritage Flight announcements which, as they use the solo pilots is highly unlikely).
This may possibly be the first year for a while without any mainland US flying participation with the exception of 2013 which was for sequestration reasons.

No Couteau Delta (Not RIAT’s fault obviously), No American demo teams. Will obviously wait and hold out to see how it progresses then make a decision. But can just imagine next year being the same old Solo Turk/ Swedish Gripen/ Belgian F16 etc...not a dig at RIAT just need something alot different to tempt me back.

Nothing in 2015 either, IIRC.

It's a shame but, imagine we may get a decent American presence on the ground.

Ah well, disappointing. But I am sure there will still be plenty of fantastic displays at RIAT next year.

Trying to remember what they gave us this year in the air. Was only the F35 heritage wasn't it?

In fairness, we'll be as fed up of F35 displays in the 10 years as we are with F16s currently.

Not fussed about the Canadians. Apart from the paint scheme the F18 display was a bit meh.

You never know. Plans change

Yes, was the F-35 Heritage Flight this year.

Was never expecting the Canadians to venture across the pond two years on the trot.

And for those interested, there is now no gap in the A-10 schedule.

You could always kind of bank on an MV-22 making the hop across but after last year's shambles I wonder if they would be so keen to do so!

Gutted no A-10 display but I am sure we will see an exciting show anyway.

The MV-22 was holding for its display on the Saturday this year, while the Reds were sitting on the runway waiting for their take off slot for Goodwood (I think?).
The MV-22 was dismissed!
