Latest update - 28th April 2022 https://www.airtattoo.com/airshow/aircr ... dates-2022

We have now received official confirmation from the Hungarian Air Force on the aircraft they will send to RIAT, with Gripens & Hinds inbound to RAF Fairford in July! We're also very pleased both types will be demonstrated in the flying display programme with another example available for closer inspection in the static aircraft displays.

After a lengthy absence, we're pleased to be welcoming Brazil back to the Air Tattoo! They will participate on static display with the first visit of their new Embraer KC-390 transport aircraft, bringing some Latin American influence to this year's event.

The first additions to the static displays at RIAT 2022 from the Royal Air Force come from RAF Shawbury, with examples of their Juno & Jupiter. We hope to be able to confirm more Royal Air Force aircraft in the coming weeks to complement the already announced display assets, as we are in positive discussions with a number of squadrons.

Recent weeks have been extremely busy for the Air Operations Team, with continued engagement with the United States Air Force regarding their aircraft availability and encouraging participation as part of our USAF 75th Anniversary celebrations. In addition, staff from DBH recently attended the British Air Display Association event at Duxford.

Finally, Pilatus will bring examples of the PC-24 light business jet and new PC-7 MKX training aircraft which will both be located in our showcase static display areas and available to view all three days.

A big and rare hunk for static (in nice camo) from half the world away, a European fast jet solo/static, a super rare Soviet-designed helicopter solo/classic, and some interesting/new manufacturer aircraft.

Hard to think of a better update.

When was the last time two Hinds from two different nations flew in the flying display?

What a coup! I seem to have said it every week so far, but old habits die hard - superb.

Surprisngly only the Czechs have been to UK shows other than an appearance at Redhill 1989 in Soviet markings when a Mi24/35 and Mi28 both appeared presumably manufacturer sponsored. There was also the BAe systems sponsored one at Farnborough but I think that may have been trailered in.

There was a Russian marked one that did a few mid 90's static appearances; Woodford, Broughton, etc, but I think that may have been the same airframe that ended up in BAE markings. But yes, only displayed by the Czechs and this Hungarian display is a coup indeed. Brilliant.

As Alan Partridge might have said...

'Lovely stuff...'

Well done again DBH - some Brazilian semi-heaviness, and a plethora now of bug-faced choppers to admire. The Mercurial Hungarian Gripen display too.

Now then... <cough-cough> Mirage2000s... they seem to be back on the scene. Any chance?
Now officially qualifies as a 'regular' at Famous Dave's - El Centro

French PC-21 tactical demo will be cool to see. Couteau Delta still yet to reveal their 2022 schedule, they’ve been teasing their season on their socials.

The PC-21s are very smart, but you can't beat a bit of Rafale or Mirage flair. Let's hope they can spare a couple for static at least as we get nearer the time.
