This needs to be in the general waffle section, it loses it's impact and reach here, particularly as so many of us saw him at Old Warden..

Visited here in June and was surprised by the breadth and quality of the WW1 collection. Came away wondering a.) how the museum had amassed so many and b.) why so many were wing-less...Mark Felton’s videos really are quite superb snippets of history.

I just love the headline "Microsoft cofounder Paul Allen's personal MiG-29 fighter..."

Isn't it great when snagging a 12m long one tonne cylinder hanging off a parachute with a helicopter is the easiest part to do?

Civi reg is G-RNFA
According to the G-Info website, the PtoF was applied for a couple of days ago.

So NOTAM for next Friday is nothing to do with it, then.

Well apparently, you can make it up, because that's what News 1130 have done...!

The SAR spokesman has said that campers and other visitors are using the Helipad as a viewing platform, not that they're pitching tents on it!

“We have a helipad set up there for use by search and rescue, BC Parks and for other forestry-related purposes. It’s in a prime location for a great view of the lake and taking a picture. We know people are going to use it for that — and that’s okay — but the message to get out is that when you hear a helicopter coming, grab your belongings and get away from that helipad. Stay well away from the helicopter.”
And as the smart ship grew,
In stature, grace and hue,
In shadowy silent distance grew the iceberg too....
