F.A.S.T Nightshoot II - 21st January 2012

Post by tommercer »

With the success of the January nightshoot at F.A.S.T, the wheels are in motion to set up another nightshoot for a weekend in October when the days become shorter again.

For those that attended in January, I hope you enjoyed yourselves and can maybe even be tempted back! And for those that didn't go, or couldn't make it, this is your chance to see what its all about. Unrestricted access to those beautiful Raspberry Ripple aircraft, and resident Harrier and Lightning.

If you're interested, please post your interest below!

NOTE
As this is being organised on both FC and UKAR, please only state your interest on ONE of the forums

The only 'ripple' F4 is with the Boscombe Down collection which is trying to find a new home. As for whether it could come to F.A.S.T. I think that would be doubtful as it';s a big beast and they are very pushed for space. I know that originally they were trying to get the final Meteor Drone but that also went to Boscombe. Their policy now is that they will only have airframes with a direct connection to the work carried out at Farnborough. The Lighting T.5, though not actually one that was used at Farnborough, was loaned to them as the owners couldn't find anyone to take it after it was refurbished for the special show at Fairford some years ago. The Trident cockpit is there as the Blind Landing Tests were carried out by RAE.

Last I'd heard from them is that they were still awaiting a reply from Boscombe for the Phantom and Cottesmore for a GR7. However, nothing has come of either of these yet. I will make some enquiries and see what I can find out for you mate

So an update on the Boscombe Phantom - sadly nothing came of it, the owners still haven't made a decision yet

Hi Tom,

Please put my name down. I didn't get a chance to go in the Coby Flyer exhibit last time, will it be open also?

Cheers,
Jeff.
I know you think you understood what I said, but I'm not sure you realise that what I said is not what I meant.

Hello everyone, its been a while since I've posted on here but I can happily announce that the second night-shoot at F.A.S.T will take place on the 21st January 2012 from 1700-2100.

It will be much the same set-up as before, £10 entry (on the night) with coffee, tea and biscuits available when you want a break.

Barriers will once again be removed and there will be full access to photograph the beautiful ex-RAE aircraft, as well as the Harrier and Lightning.

Please can those interested put there names below for a rough idea of numbers.

I look forward to seeing you all in January!
