UK Airshow Review wrote: highlights what a great year 2012 was for the UK airshow scene.

It was wasn't it? It also underlines the nonsense spouted by many that the UK airshow scene was dead due to wars, cuts, recession, other events, over pricing, lack of interest by organisers, the "moaners" being negative and upsetting said organisers, lack of Vulcan, nothing available from abroad..... etc etc...

I'd like to think I played my part in re-inventing the UK airshow scene last year... You're welcome...

For me the Role demo Tornados stole the show most times, especially when seen from "beachy head" and more so from the "Naughty field"!!

Were any UKAR staff present at Eastbourne on the same day as the Vulcans appearance there?

Thanks Dan, that would explain the lack of votes for what I would consider to be my highlight of the year.

Somebody suggested it, but as we had nobody there to witness it first hand it didn't make it onto anybody's personal lists.

As a matter of interest, here are the other things that were nominated but didn't make the final list:

- Hunter & Meteor at Dunsfold
- Hunter & P-51 at Duxford Autumn
- BoB formation at Goodwood
- Kevin Rumen's Vulcan displays at RIAT/Eastborne
- F-4F arrival at Waddington
- Tornado role demo Duxford Autumn
- Vulcan at Little Gransden
- Bruntingthorpe Buccaneer day
- Meteor T7 display at Sywell/Duxford
- NATO E-3 arrival at RIAT
- A380 at Farnborough
- Sikorsky flying boat at Legends
- Cosford's Jaguar taxi
- Norwegian Wings Over North Weald
- Edwardians - Old Warden October Evening Display
- Lightning Twilight Run - Bruntingthorpe
- Qatar 787 display at Farnborough
- Yak-130 displays at RIAT
- MV-22B Osprey displays at RIAT
- Al Fursan Debut
- Final Hawk T.1 display season
- Scandinavian classics at Jersey
