Anyone near Brunters today, go visit!

A one off 'all aircraft' including x3 VC-10's are on the runway unti 14:00.

I'm very tempted to make the trip, but this is my only day off in the week, so I really can't be bothered. Looks like a great photo opportunity :clap:

Wow, just seen this and I'm 2 hours away, oh well!!!!
Was this advertised, maybe they should do this in the summer too. In better weather and visibility.

That VC10 on the right looks a bit nose low?

wow,too far away for me,but that took some organising… would love a full list of all those airframes.Are any of them airworthy?

29 Aircraft, £10 to get in, line up as follows, taken from the Brunty Facebook page;

Right here goes, 3 VC10s, Nimrod, Victor, Comet, Canberra, 2 Lightnings, 5 Jet Provosts, 3 Hunters, 3 Buccaneers, Sea Harrier, Star Fighter, Sea Vixen, Jaguar, Mystere, Meteor, L29 Delphin, Jetstream, Scout. The new Tornado the Raspberry ripple Jag & Iskra are eihter under rebuild or maintenance & the 4th Bucc is being re-painted.........PHEW!! lol


The 3 VC10's are XR808, ZA147 and ZD241.

Superb organisation, great price, just wish it wasn't so far away from me!!

Very nice, are you allowed on the ground for a closer look?
Also where is the fifth Jet Provost?

You were allowed on the ground around the aircraft, people were kept back for while to allow uncluttered pics from the cherry picker. I wasn't brave enough to go up.

just to pick up on this, looking at other photos, it has all 4 engines removed, hence the tail high stance :smile:
