The gates will open at 5pm and you will have approximately an hour to take photographs of the aircraft without barriers or any artificial lighting present. Fingers crossed we get a clear night and a cracking sunset!
At 6pm we will start to get the first aircraft setup with lighting - due to the number of lights available, aircraft will be lit one at a time to give everyone a chance to get the shot they're after. All aircraft will be lit during the course of the evening - Lightning, Harrier, Puma, Hunter, Gnat, Jaguar, Gazelle and the Beagle.
Several aircraft on site have working NAV lights - Harrier, Puma and the Gazelle. All three will have lights going at some point but this can change if there are any technical issues. The Trident cockpit will also be fully lit inside.
Entry to the event will be charged at £10 per person and must be paid on the gate. Free tea, coffee and biscuits will be available indoors should you need to take ten minutes out to warm up. The museum and well stocked shop will also be open should you wish to have a look around or buy anything.
Due to the recent weather, there is a chance that this event may be cancelled at short notice so please check here for updates.
Please Note
For those that have not been to the museum before, the space outside is fairly compact so please be aware of everyone (and their expensive gear) around you. Use of flash is permitted but please make sure that no one around you is exposing at the time of use.
